摘要：The fundamental starting point of the research paper (code ARRS: V5-0503),submitted in response to a call for proposals for the target research programme ‘Slovenian Competitiveness 2006- 2013',is support for the government and other relevant actors in shaping and implementing policies to achieve intergenerational and sustainable development which enforces the principles of sustainability in all development areas. A synergy of efforts for the 'establishment and development of cultural identity' and 'integration of measures for sustainable development' informs a knowledge society,which treats in a 'sustainably' sensitive manner its physical and spatial conditions of subsistence and cultural development,and by doing so builds its international competitiveness.
