摘要：In architecture,instruments (analogue as well as digital) permeate all the stages of architectural design. They have always constituted a significant part and even been a ‘co-designer’ in the process of design,and the digitalisation of the profession has augmented the need for them. The contribution deals with the advanced and accessible instruments in architecture and urbanism which are often overlooked and unused in practice. After introductory definitions of a tool/instrument,and the determination of their characteristics (criteria for choosing study examples),there follow an overview and description of four large groups of advanced instruments and their accommodation within the process of architectural design. The overview is supported by concrete examples of instruments and practices,which allows us to become familiar with them,and allows to distinguish their characteristics,advantages, drawbacks,the nature of work with them and the amount of user knowledge and skills required. In conclusion,besides introducing the instruments into the design process,we highlight the degrees of necessary upgrading of knowledge. In this latter fact we see the reason for architects' reservations regarding the use of these instruments and also the necessity for the planned training of future Slovene architects in this field of the profession.
