摘要:The Egyptian measure for all measurements was the elbow, whose length was divided into seven palms, which were further divided into four fingers. We established that the structure of mutual relations in the Egyptian measurement system based on the elbow integrates the principle of automatic construction of safe dimensioning of simple stone load-bearing building elements. The structure of mutual measurements: 1 elbow = 7 palms = 28 fingers and 1 palm = 4 fingers, includes the simple formula for determining safe constructions of stone beams or plates burdened by bending, with respect even to differences in resilience properties of stone materials. This measurement system probably emerged after long, careful and deliberate observation of simple construction elements burdened by varying loads, probably until they collapsed.
