摘要:Purpose – With the inclusion of the internet in our lives,the use of social media has become a part of our daily routine. It is difficult to find individuals who do not have social media accounts or do not use social media anymore. Social media is generally used for different purposes considering different position,age and gender. Identifying the habits of users has an important function in determining the economic,social and cultural effects of social media use. Design/methodology/approach – From this point of view,this research aims to determine the social media usage habits of university students in Management School. In this context,a questionnaire was applied to 239 participants consisting of 172 females and 67 males in the field of human resources management at a public university. A descriptive analysis was performed on the data obtained from the questionnaires applied to the participants. In this context,descriptive statistics,factor analysis,t-test,One-Way ANOVA and correlation analysis were performed. Results – As a result of the analysis performed,it is seen that there are differences in social media usage between men and women and the use of social media differs between classes. It has been found that there is a relationship between social media usage and social media usage frequency. Discussion – The results indicate that the most commonly used social media amongst the participants is YouTube and the second is Instagram. The most important reason for the use of social media for human resource management students,who are managerial candidates,is education.
