摘要：In the article,the authors disclose the main methodological aspects of the military-economic support of the state's defense capability,within the theoretical framework of its formation and practical assessments of the levels of its components in terms of the impact factors of each component. The study and analysis of the state of the issue regarding the understanding of the term state defense shows the existence of several different views on its interpretation. On the one hand,these views are connected with the achievements of Soviet scientists,on the other,there are attempts to transform it into modern realities. Today,some authors interpret the term defensive capability as a combination of two components: the defense potential of the state and the state's foreign policy potential. The current conditions for the development of Ukraine quite clearly allow us to place emphasis on more important issues of the process of ensuring the necessary level of the country's defense capability. The situation that has developed in the country shows that the military-economic components of defensive capacity are one of the key elements of its formation. The research conducted by the authors made it possible to determine the main methodological aspects of ensuring the defense capability for any country,and show that the state's defense capacity is based on several components,the main of which are its military and economic potential. And the so-called foreign policy potential is a factor that in one way or another affects the level of defense capability. The main focus of the article is on the military-economic direction of research as one of the main. Practical calculations with the help of correlation-regression analysis and expert methods show the importance of each component in the overall level of the country's defense capability,as well as the degree of influence of these or other factors on them. The article defines the main aspects of ensuring the defense capability of the state,which should become the basis for building the methodology for the formation of the country's defense capability. The obtained results can be useful for scientists and specialists of the strategic planning system for the development of the components of the defense forces in order to choose the most rational ways of their development and formulate the priorities for ensuring the country's defense capability.
