摘要:This paper explores the particularities of systemic risk associated to the Romanian financial institutions in the context of the global crisis. We evaluate, for a period of time when financial markets were affected by the global crisis, the systematic risks for two categories of financial institutions: SIFs and banks, finding highest risks for the SIFs. We conclude that because the nature of linkages between the two categories of financial institutions and because of different risk perceptions an eventually SIFs crisis will not necessary propagate to the banking sector.
