In Romania, after 1990,the phenomenon has sharpened our country becoming, like other countries in the region, market of emission but also transit for human trafficking. The institutions fighting to prevent and combat this phenomenon are still insufficient and their efforts do not produce desired results, due to the gaps in legislation and the ease with which traffickers people adapt to the new environment and the new regulations.
