摘要：The article presents the life and work of an important personality in the field of modern Czech pedagogy – professor Otokar Chlup. The author mostly characterizes the main directions of the scientific work and the most important publications of professor Chlup. Further on,the article implies some problematic issues in the life and work of Otokar Chlup which make the objective evaluation of the importance of this scientist more difficult for Czech pedagogy of the 20th century.
