摘要:This article addresses qualitative and quantitative methodologies, regarding them as two different but not competing discourses. Methodological, epistemological and logical circumstances of the qualitative research — especially the method of the grounded theory — are observed. So is the inductive method in the qualitative discourse,as well as the creation of theories. A statement saying that the grounded theory is a hypothesis is declared and expounded upon. In addition, the possibilities interconnecting both discourses (both types of analysis) in a single form of research are discussed. Finally, the character of social sciences is considered,as is the search for truth in social sciences.
