摘要：Generation of a true ortho is getting increasing popularity. To date,that product has been reserved mainly for airborne images. Nowadays,it is taken into account even for high resolution satellite images. True ortho is most important for cities with high buildings. When conventional orthoimages are generated,the relief displacement of the objects above the surface,such as buildings, trees are not considered. This means that some of the ground coverage may be hidden by objects. Conventional orthoimage lose accuracy. The development of true ortho seems to result from the automation of processing methods,which have so far been manual and costly. This becomes possible thanks to the improvement in the accuracy of Digital Surface Model acquisition with laser scanning or matching images. This paper describes some examples of high technology of true ortho generation. It attempts to solve the problem of the influence of laser scanner data density on the true ortho quality and production automation.
