摘要：Archival analogue aerial photographs are,or will be scanned and made available via the Internet with a view of further using them in photogrammetric works and in environmental research. Photographs can be made available individually,or they can be subjected to orthorectification and converted into large raster images. Methods of histogram matching between neighbouring photographs are not always sufficiently effective to remove the visible effects of vignetting and of bidirectional spectral reflection,the two key phenomena modifying the distribution of exposure on an aerial photo,which was made with a camera of a conical field of view. The influence of both phenomena is particularly visible in cameras with the normal- and wide-angle fields of view. Applying the correction of vignetting before the mosaic process of aerial photographs yields mosaics visually deprived of the effects of radial dimming using statistical or manual methods. This work is introducing the method of vignetting correction together with the way of optimization considering the changeable conditions of aerial photo taking.
