  • 摘要:The article presents results of an experimental work on the evaluation of the possibility of road structure layers detection with RAMAC/GPR equipment. Test work was carried out on the section of the road with the high-speed road parameters,which was under construction. The goal of the experimental work was the quantitative evaluation of the possibility and accuracy of determination of road structure layers thickness. The GPR measurements,carried out during the forming process of individual construction layers,gave a unique and reliable research material,which – because of the way of getting it – provided a basis for the work during the road operation. In the analytical and comparative process,information from partial calibration boreholes made by the road contractor and from geodetic measurement (levelling) made by author was used. Special emphasis was put in the paper on proper processing of GPR data. Measurement of the layer thickness cannot be carried in a direct way on radargrams because the roadway structure consists of layers of various wave velocities,which cannot be taken into account in direct processing of the GPR image. The process of correct scaling of GPR results is possible only trough the vectorization and calibration of particular road structure layers. That conversion requires employing suitable advanced functions of GPR post-processing software,and then the obtained result can be fully reliable.
