摘要：The paper presents the concept and theoretical basis of a new method of terrain modeling based on scattered sampling points. The method uses the Interactive Cellular Automata (ICA) as a tool for control of the modeling process and smoothing the surface. The results of modeling a sample terrain by a program implementing the described method are presented.
