摘要：The article discusses three enigmatic place names attested in the old district of Wieluń region,which in the scholarly literature are treated as so-called service settlements. The place names in question are carefully explained from an onomastic point of view,as well as with regard to word-formation. Typical occupations of their early Medieval inhabitants are identified on the basis of etymological analysis.
