摘要：This study proposes to envisage a few examples of translation strategies applied to the Romanian translation of the novel “Germinal” by Emil Zola. Realistic background in which the description often acquires a fantastical value,representation of a social reality,impregnated with symbols,the novel “Germinal” proposes,with each reading,new interpretations. The corpus of examples is limited to three Romanian versions of the original. The permanent readings of the novel,the fact that it does not exhaust the potential of unexplored meanings,prove its cultural richness and its capacity of interpretative renewal. A criticism of the novel (re)translation(s) constitutes a particular penetration into the narrative texture in order to comprehend the adventure of the “Germinal” destiny in Romanian.
