摘要：In the opinion of Jean Starobinski,“Rousseau gives to the mental image a superior intensity compared to the one of actual sensation”. This is revealed by the scenes where the memory eye creates a perfect image of the desired object. Therefore seeing by an effort of the imagination is for Saint-Preux,the male protagonist of the novel “La Nouvelle Héloïse”,the instant capable to weak up inside of himself not only the fictional image of Julie,his adorable woman,but also a intimate dreaming which transfers him in the past and offers him the proximity of the desired body. The passage from reality to the imaginary world is presented gradually and in detail,having as a result the creation of the idealized object and a desired show.
