摘要：The aim of this study is to discover how the urban areas are utilized in Nigde for social and political activities. It can be said that the right to the city is far more than the individual liberty to access urban resources: it is a right to change ourselves by changing the city. Since the context of Lefebvre this concept has been developed by varied political and urban theories. Thus,utilizing open public spaces to promote the social and political issues beyond the formal structures and get in contact with daily life and with citizens is getting important. So that to understand space and politics relations in a city,it is significant to detect how the political is understood by the people. The case of Nigde indicate that the usage of the places as political spaces does not seen in the context of right to the city which transform the city and reform the politics.
