摘要：The purpose of this study is the analysis of the effects on economic growth of variables in oil prices in the most oil importing countries. Most of the studies in the literature have examined either the developed or developing countries or oil exporting countries. In the empirical research works,it had not been encountered to studies that searched the relation of variables in oil prices on the economic growth in the most oil importing countries. The space in this area had led us to analyze the relation between petroleum prices in oil importing countries and economic growth. Therefore,it has been expected that this study is going to contribute to literature about the filling this space. In this study,it had been tried to determine the direction and magnitude of the relation between petroleum prices and economic growth in 26 OECD countries in terms of econometric by using panel data analysis by using annually data between 1987-2015. According to result of Granger Causality Test based on Vector Error Correction Model,it had been determined that there is bi-directional causality from petroleum prices to economic growth.
