  • 摘要:Diabetes is a chronic metabolic disorder and a condition in which oxidative stress increases (Akkaya and Çelik 2010). PURPOSE: The aim of this study is to determine the effects of exercise on antioxidant system and some blood parameteres in experimental diabetic rats with streptozotocin(STZ). MATERIAL and METHOD: Thirty-two adult Wistar Albino rats were used in the study. The animals used in the experiment were divided into 4 equal groups,8 animals in each group as Control (C),Diabetes (D),Exercise (E) and Diabates+Exercise (DE). Single dose 60 mg/kg STZ intraperitoneally were injected to the group D and DE. After the diabetes,30 minutes swimming exercise for 4 weeks,5 days a week was applied to groups E and DE. RESULTS: In the study,SOD,MDA,GSH,Insulin and glucose levels were determined by examing blood samples. MDA levels showed a significant increase in D and DE (p <0.05),while values in DE after exercise showed a significant decrease compared to D (p <0.05). When SOD levels were examined, the values in D and DE decreased with respect to C (P <0.05),although the SOD level in DE increased with exercise. The SOD values in D and DE decreased (P <0.05),while the E and DE were similar to each other, although the SOD level in DE increased with exercise. Insulin levels in blood parameters decreased in D and DE. While the D and DE showed similarities, the same similarities occurred in E and DE. The glucose levels increase in the E and DE was found to be close to each other. DISCUSSION: In the recent studies including diabetes,Lima et al (2013) reported that aerobic exercise increases SOD activity and decreases GSH levels. Zeinali et al (2012) was investigated the effects of acute exercise including endurance and speed on glucose levels. They reported that speed exercises increased but endurance exercises did not show the same effect. Ahmadi et al (2012) examined the insuline and glucose after the aerobic exercise and they obtained the result, there is no significant effect. Studies on MDA levels reported that the exercises decreases MDA after diabetes (Camelia et al 2013). In our study,we found that after the occurence of diabetes, acute aerobic exercise has an effect on the oxidative stress parameters increased due to the diabetes. While MDA levels decrease,SOD activity and GSH levels increased. In the blood parameters, insüline levels decreased and glucose levels showed an increase. CONCLUSION: In this study, the acute aerobic exercise the effects of acute aerobic exercise on antioxidant system and some blood parameters in diabetes was evaluated. The results showed that aerobic exercise has positive effects in diabetes.
