摘要：Rapid population growth leads to intense and unplanned growth as a result of rapid urbanization and industrialization in the big cities,this situation causes rapid depletion of open and green spaces in the city. However,the intensity of urban life and its pressure on people have made the effect of open and green spaces more energetic for the urban people to be rested psychologically,to be able to sustain socio-cultural development and to be able to have recreational activities at the same time. One of the most important place of the open and green spaces in the city is the city parks,where psychological,socio-cultural and recreational activities are carried out at the same time,and the units that affect the social quality of the city positively. MATERIAL and METHOD: In this direction,Hüdavendigar City Park,Reşat Oyal Kültür Park,Soğanlı Botanic Park and Merinos Park were evaluated within the scope of our work,which are provided service on the city scale and located within the borders of Bursa province. Field surveys were carried out and the socio-cultural, recreative,equipment and plant parameters and satisfaction / dissatisfaction of users were examined. RESULTS: As a result of the evaluations made,it is seen that the most preferred urban park is Soğanlı Botanic Park (28.5%) followed by Hüdavendiğar Kent Park with 16.8%. The ratios of users who prefer city parks for recreational purposes are highest (44,8%) in Hüdavendiğar City Park and lowest (22,5%) in Merinos City Park.
