摘要：Within adventure of the “Nation State” arising from the second half of the 19 th century until today,states used many parameters in relations with each other. As being separated from the Politics Science after the 1st World War and regarded as an original discipline,the basic argument of the International Relations discipline has been to build up peace in international relations,but with technological developments,the discipline has become richer in different issues theoretically day by day. The English School Theory is one of opinion perspectives making significant contributions to the discipline. Especially the theory which gained momentum dating from the second half of the twentieth century,benefited from international society idea in order to comment on world politics. Sport has become an indispensable building stone of social life in recent centuries and so it has started to affect people at first,then communities and groups in many concerns. The recognizable effects of sport have been also seen in politics. Even if there has been a general judgment that sport and politics cannot be involved in each other,now sport has become a structure gathering masses and thus one of the socio-cultural institution shaving an important role in international relations. All states have determined their own sport policies and contributed to their international prestige and strength in front of other countries due to their policies,especially their success in competitions held in international fields. In this study,from the theories representing different perspectives in the International Relations discipline,the historical process,representatives and methods of the English School Theory and the practicability of the idea “International Society”,given via three traditions by the English School Theory,on sportive perspectives were assessed using the literature screening model. In conclusion,sport has become one of the substantial cases with its increasing effects in various fields. With the effects of technological developments,reflections of globalisation have shown themselves in sportive activities. The international society idea mentioned in the study has been perceived as an utopia by many people. Absolutely in current conditions borders and nation state concept are in such a process,activating this idea in each field,bringing countries under a common roof will not go beyond an optimistic dream. But sport,described as a low policy,has a tendency towards peace-based effects on tensions and negative relations between countries.
