摘要:The aim of this research is to investigate the communication skills of the physical education teacher candidates and other teacher candidates according to their gender,department,class,licensed status of sports,place where he/she spent his/her life and number of siblings variables. The study group consisted of 410 teacher candidates (206 females / 204 males - age: 21.66 ± 2.24) who attended Karadeniz Technical University during the fall semester of 2016-2017. The data was collected through “Personel Information Form” and “The Scale of Evaluation of Communication Skills” questionnaires developed by Korkut (1996) after the necessary permissions are obtained. Mann Whitney U test and Kruskal Wallis H tests were applied to the obtained data at α = 0.05 level. Test results shows that women in comparision with men,second grade teacher candidades in comparision other grade teacher candidades,as place urban in comparision with rural have significantly higher communication skill scores. Although it is not statistically significant,it is seen that physical education teacher candidates' communication skills scores are higher than the other teacher candidates. There was no significant difference observed acording to licensed sport and number of siblings variables.
