摘要:Success in sport is not only due to the talent, training, physical and technical-tactical preparation. Sport activity is a complex behavior, and research of psychological factors enables acknowledgement,follow-up,transformation and shaping of athlete’s personality. Given that all top athletes are almost equal in many relevant elements of their skills, the psychological factors are increasingly noted to have a decisive role in sports competition. It’s commonly acknowledged that the efficiency in sports does not only depend on the exercise of the body, but also on the mental exercise of an athlete’s mind. Anxiety is a psychological occurrence which affects the overall behavior of an individual, and the success in sport all along. The purpose of this research is oriented towards determining the distinctions in the level of anxiety between athletes of individual sports (karate, wrestling, judo, athletics),collective sports (football,basketball,volley-ball,handball) and non-athletes during adolescence. RESEARCH METHODS: 180 subjects have been included in this research;male athletes aged 11 to 24. The overall sample has been divided into three sub groups with 60 subjects per each groups, respectively 60 subject from individual sports,60 subject from collective sports and 60 subject from non-athletes. In order to assess the anxiety as a psychological feature, the following tests were utilized: TAI (the Talt Anxiety Inventary) and CSAI-2 (Competitive State Anxiety Inventory-2). Statistical processing was performed with the Statistical Program for Social Sciences,SPSS15. CONCLUSION: According to the results obtained from this study,we can confirm that there are significant statistical distinctions in the level of anxiety among tested between athletes of individual sports, collective sports and non-athletes during adolescence.
