摘要:Waste (e-waste) rate in electric-electronic industry where the life cycle of products is shortened by firms in the industry is increasing dramatically. It is estimated that e-waste rate will increase by 3-5% annually and total market will reach 11 Billion USD due to developing technologies and increasing consumer demand. Wastes in electric-electronic industry contain heavy metals are threatening both human and environment health in developed countries seriously when they destroyed by burning. At this point,in order to have sustainable natural resources,governments should form effective e-waste management policies that e-waste rate is minimized,recycle rate of e-waste is increased and the environmental effect of e-waste that are not recyclable is minimized. And also they should transform these policies to corporate applications. In this study,basic concepts of waste management and advantages of e-waste recycling are discussed under economic and environmental dimensions of sustainable development.
