摘要:In this research it was aimed to investigate the relation between the self-esteem of the prospective teachers of physical education and sports (PES) and their attitudes towards cheating;it was also investigated if these two dependent variables change or don’t change according to the independent variables in the scope of the research. Material and Methods: 167 prospective teachers of physical education (21.44±1.98 years) participated in the study voluntarily. Quantitative research techniques were used in the research. As measurement tools in these research were used Self-esteem Scale,Scale for Attitude Towards Cheating and Personal Information Form. To analyse data t test,one-way ANOVA,Pearson Correlation tests and Kruksal Wallis H test was used. Type 1 mistake is accepted as 5%. Results: As the results were found women (t(165)=3.360,p=0.001) has higher self-esteem,3rd grade students has higher self-esteem than 2nd grade (F(3-163)=2.956,p=0.034),the ones who are happy to be educated in Physical Education and Sport Department (PESD) have higher self-esteem level than the ones who are indecisive (x² =10.724,p=0.005),and ones who don’t cheat has higher self-esteem level than the ones who cheat (t(165)=2.104,p=0.037). There is a statistically significant difference in cheating according to the factors of wanting to be educated in another department (t(165)=2.794,p=0.006),and the ones who express themselves as prospective teachers have more positive attitude than the ones who.
