  • 摘要:Ankle injuries are common among physically active women. The role of ankle taping has been studied widely but a new typing method named Kinesio®Tape (KT) has a popularity for both as treatment and performance tool. But there is limited study on the acute effect of KT on jumping and balance perforrmance. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to evaluate whether the application of Kinesio®Tape (KT)( K-Tape®-Black 1.96 inch” Berlin,Germany) had an effect on vertical jump and postural control in healthy women. Gereç ve Yöntem:19 female students free of ankle or lower extremity injury(age:23,60 ±0,42years;height:165,26 ±4,54cm;weight:61,26 ±5,22kg) participated in this study. Participants were assigned to complete a balance test in not taped condition first. Following, participants were re-tested in the taped condition. While appling the tape participant’s position was sitting. Angle between hip and knee joints was 90° and ankle was bent at 90° dorsi flexion on dominant side. 50% tension was used for each strip. Proximal and distal ends of the strips, approximately 1 inch, was free of tension. After appling, the tape was rubbed to adhere to skin and increase effectiveness.Tape was applied by the same certified physiotherapist.Vertical jump and postural control were measured using force plate(BERTEC,USA). To meausure the jump height, the participants were asked to stood in the middle of the force plate barefoot and make several single leg jumps for familirization. As the participant felt ready, performed single leg jump with hands on hip as high as possible .For static balance evaluation Data were collected for 30 s. The subjects were instructed to stand normally on the force plate, with hands on their hip,and to look at a fixed point in front of them. The subjects were barefoot and stood on the point where the diagonal of the force platform joins will be in the middle of the two legs self-chosen feet positioning (not wider apart than the distance between their hip joints though) as the participants were instructed on the required to stance, middle of force plate, asked to place their hands on their hip, eyes open for 30seconds and told test recording would begin when they were ready. SONUÇ ve TARTIŞMA:T-test was conducted in order to identify differences and correlation analysis were performed to evaluate the relationship between taped and non-taped conditions. Vertical jump height neither decreased nor increased (p=0,292) but balance test results showed that taped condition was better than nontaped condition(p=0,016).Different measures of vertical jump performance with another group is warrented to further investigate the effect of KT.
