摘要:The purpose of this study was to investigate and compare the effects of horizontal and vertical plyometric training on reactive strength index (RSI),peak power (PP),mean power (MP) and fatigue index (FI) in amateur soccer players. METHODS: Twenty-six amateur soccer players volunteered to participate in this study. The Subjects were randomly assigned to one of three groups (horizontal (HP);n=7),vertical (VP);n=7 and control (CG);n=6). Both experimental groups participated in a plyometric training program 3 times a week for 6 weeks and CG engaged in no training section. The total number of jumps in plyometric training was initially 100 per session,which was gradually increased over a period of 6 weeks to 140 per session. All measurements were taken same order in 4 days before and after 6 weeks of plyometric training (first day: height,weight,body fat percentage and RSI;fourth day: PP,MP and FI,respectively). RESULTS: The results showed that significant improvements were found in both experimental groups (HP and VP) for all measurements from pre- to post-training (p≤0,05),except FI in the VP group (p>0,05). After 6 weeks plyometric training,significantly greater improvements were observed with regard to MP (% 24,93 - % 12,02) and FI (% -16,55 - % 0,69),in HP compared to VP,while RSI (% 58,62 - % 35,26) and PP (% 28,63 - % 15,93) in VP compared to HP,respectively. CONCLUSION: The study demonstrated that both horizontal and vertical jumps induced meaningful improvement in explosive actions in off-season for amateur soccer players. HP training is highly recommended in order to improve and maintain for MP and FI while VP training for RSI and PP. Accordingly,plyometric training can induce an increase in anaerobic power and vertical jump performance,and decrease ground contact time in amateur soccer players. Two different plane plyometric training should be adequately applied in a more complex training plan that incorporates other sprint,endurance,technical and tactical-oriented training methods.
