Options of “A) I don't smoke,B) I smoke less than half a pack in a day,and C) I smoke more than half a packet in a day" were used to determine the amount of cigarette smoking. The point for smoking was measured by giving 1 point to option A,2 points to option B and 3 points to C. Cross tabulation and X2 analyses were used to determine whether the distributions among groups are different or not. RESULTS: The results of this study show that percentages of participants were for 34.9 % for regularly exercised and 65.91 % for sedentary participants, respectively. This study also showed that regular physical exercise had no effect on physical characteristics and the cigarette smoking habits in females. No significant difference was observed in the percentages of regularly exercised and sedentary females depending on age groups. There were also insignificant differences in the cigarette smoking rates and BMI ratios with respect to age groups. CONCLUSION: The physical exercise levels of participants were under the level of the effective threshold to maintain the body mass index in a normal range and to diminish the cigarette smoking habits. It can be concluded that females reported their physical activity level as higher than their real values.
