摘要：The aim of the article is to consider the situation of child’s rights in the family. For this purpose the letters and claims received at the office of Ombudsmen for the Protection of Child’s Rights in the years of 2002 – 2003 were analysed as well as the point of view of experts (specialists in the sphere of child rights,social workers) to the violation of child’s rights in the family. The results of the study revealed that violation of child’s rights are most often caused by the bad relationship between parents solving their personal problems,also insufficient economic conditions in the families,especially in incomplete ones,and negligence of child’s interests. The most prevailing premises of the breach of child’s rights in the family are the following: (I) parents do not agree about the expenses needed for the bringing up of the child;(II) they do not agree about the right kind of communication with the child;(III) they interfere with the fulfilment of parent’s duties;(IV) they do not create proper conditions for the education. The study confirmed that child’s rights are not understood in the same way by different groups of people. Mothers more often draw their attention to the economic difficulties,violation of the child’s right to the secure living conditions,while fathers concentrate more often to the psychological difficulties and the violation of the child’s right to communicate with his/her father. Comparing the opinion of the experts and the family members,it revealed that families usually do not evaluate the violation of the child’s right to the education and do not notice the violation of the child’s rights to the time of amusement and rest.
