摘要：The article analyzes the peculiarities of the participation of women with motion disability in professional activities. The article concentrates on professional preparation,integration into the labour market and improving qualification. The method of written inquiry (the instrument—a questionnaire) was used. 125 women with motion disability between the working ages of 18 and 55 participated in the study. The research took place in 2009. The results showed that most of the respondents had a profession. The main motives of women for acquiring a profession and improving qualification were integration into the labour market and society,and self-realization. However,only half of the women had a job. The main factors for unemployment and difficulties experienced in the labour market fell into two groups: objective factors (social policy of the state;economic situation;disability;unequipped environment;insufficient work places in the labour market for people with motion disability;lack of social services support;lack of mediation,consulting and information;negative attitudes of employers and society;rapid pace of work) and subjective factors (lack of professional competencies;low self-esteem;lack of initiative,personal effort and motivation to work and improve qualification).
