摘要：The market economy supposes the existence of a banking system that will ensure the mobilization of the monetary resources of the economy and their orientation towards the carrying out efficient economic activities.In assessing the performances of the banking system it is necessary to use a coherent system of statistical indicators reflecting the main trends and changes in its evolution.In the first part the paper aims to present the main indicators that can be used in analysing the level and performances of the banking system.In the second part of the paper,based on statistical and financial indicators,I realized a statistical analyse,emphasizing the main tendencies in the evolution of the banking system in Romania,during the period 2008-2016.
