摘要：Since 1975 when the Council Resolution on a preliminary programme of the European Economic Community for consumer protection and information policy was adopted and up to the present,the consumer safety policy has been developing continuously from general regulations on consumer’s rights to complex systems that ensure the consumer’s safety.The paper presents the non-food product safety system (RAPEX) in the European Union and analyzes the way it is managed in Romania.It highlights the differences between the notifications sent by Romanian authorities and those registered by the European Commission.Some recommendations were made in order to improve the consumer’s safety in the European Union,Romania and other countries,as well.
