摘要：El presente artículo tiene como objetivo evidenciar las repercusiones legales y políticas que trae consigo las reformas al COGEP (Código General de Procesos) en la parte pertinente a la convalidación de laudos arbitrales internacionales en Ecuador. Para ello, hemos tomado como referencia el caso Chevron, el mismo que involucra al estado ecuatoriano y a las comunidades indígenas amazónicas que llevan décadas en una batalla legal contra la petrolera norteamericana.
其他摘要：The objective of this article is to demonstrate the legal and political repercussions of the reforms to the COGEP (General Code of Processes) in the pertinent part of the recognition of international arbitration awards in Ecuador; for this, we have taken as reference the Chevron case, the same one that involves the Ecuadorian state and the Amazonian indigenous communities that have been in a legal battle against the North American oil company for decades.
