摘要:The debate about racial ethnic relations in the field of education intensified in Brazil from Federal Law 10.639 / 03, which makes it necessary to teach Afro-Brazilian history and culture throughout the school curriculum. In this sense, it was sought with this reflection to observe if such debate is also being carried out in the field of geography teaching, more precisely in the academic field, next to periodicals. Since this material in addition to publicizing research can be an important source of research for teachers in the basic education network. Therefore, it was sought to select and analyze academic articles that brought pedagogical didactic referrals referring to Law 10.639 / 03 in the teaching of Geography. This analysis was based on articles published in four academic journals in the area of Geography between the period of 2003-2015. This article was developed through theoretical surveys and research in academic journals of Geography, which presented pedagogical didactic referrals referring to the ethnic racial question for the work in Geography teaching. However, the research carried out revealed that it is still a fragile debate in the geographic scenario, since from surveys found in academic journals, it is perceived that the reporting of experiences about this reality is fragile and referrals tend to be repeated, being a reality a little more consolidated the reflection about the Law in a broad way in the analyzed periods.
