摘要:The present paper is the result of the analysis of the participation and quantification of the atmospheric systems which acted in the South Center of Brazil for the historical series ranging from 2002 to 2010. The main objective was to quantify and spatialize the atmospheric systems in the region and analyze the main consequences in the state of the weather and the seasonal oscillations. As a result of comparing the participation of each atmospheric system for each of the four locations for the four seasons, the atmospheric dynamics for the South Center of Brazil was characterized. We found that in the Winter the high pressure systems prevail, although the participation of the systems of high pressure in the Fall was eventually near and / or above those found in theWinter. The systems were identified by analyzing both synoptic charts and satellite images from four locations as follows: Campo Mourão - PR, Cáceres - MT, Brasília - DF and Caparaó - MG. The main system, considering the period of action and the changes caused in the types of weather was the Atlantic Polar mass. Such atmospheric system is transient and anticyclonal; It enters the Brazilian territory from the South and imposes its characteristics to the types of weather - temperature drop and atmospheric stability. The frontal system is, mainly for the region of Campo Mourão, responsible for the changes in the weather and for the episodes of frontal rains, mainly in the Winter. The second system, considering the period of action, was the tropical Atlantic mass, mainly for the eastern border of the South Center of Brazil, also anticyclonal; It often moves into the interior of Brazil and causes atmospheric stability. The third system was the continental Tropical mass; It expands from the origin located at "Grande Chaco" and the weather conditions are characterized by high temperatures and low rainfall levels. The continental Equatorial mass, also hot and of low pressure, takes place more intensely in the Summer.
