摘要:Relations between the environment and health are narrow because they result from social organization forms that can interfere in living standards and create differences in the health-disease process. On the other hand, Geography moves its analysis, sometimes in the relation of this social organization and its interference on the environment, or sometimes in the reverse process. The aim is to understand the behavior of tuberculosis in Maringá from 2010 to 2015, based on cases reported by the Sistema Nacional de Agravos Notificação (SINAN) [National Diseases Notification System]. Through the knowledge of the tuberculosis bearer’s profile, with visualization on maps and the incidence, the results pointed to the following aspects: the predominance of male individuals in working age of these 56.7% employed and 12.5% unemployed, low education, low income and with some coinfection especially AIDS. But there is also the problem related to alcoholism, drugs and institutionalized individuals. However, even with the occurrence in areas with higher concentration of people and low income, this injury is "democratic" because it is also present in areas considered "noble" as can be seen in this article. Noting that areas 24, 25 and 37 are the ones that have the largest population groups with positive cases, and 42 area with the highest incidence due to the number of cases in the state penitentiary.
