摘要：This paper considers three Italian manuscripts of the Alexandre in French verse in order to assess their contribution to the verse tradition in general. Concentrating on their decoration and illustration in a comparative context I present a detailed analysis of features that allow a more accurate placement of these manuscripts between Bologna and Padua in the thirteenth century.
