摘要：Objective: map the scientific production on Bibliography in the Capes Journals Portal, from 1960 to 2019, seeking to reflect on the research directions that this discipline has been receiving in its theoretical framework. Methods: The research was carried out at the Capes journals portal, on October 9th and 10th, 2019, using only the selection of publications (articles) related to the theme “Bibliography”. The searches were edited and personalized from the item "Search Subject", opting for refinement in the item "Advanced Search". Filling in the fields was limited to the purposes of the investigation, using specific terms and Boolean operators. Search periods were determined between January 1, 1960 and October 10, 2019. The investigation presents a qualitative approach and it is an exploratory and descriptive study also carried out through a review of the literature concerning the area. Results: It was found that publications on Bibliography within a certain period are more directed towards its functionality as a tool for mapping and representing knowledge and knowledge to other areas, that is, its application as a product and activity. However, as of the last two decades, at least with regard to scientific publications in the form of journal articles, a greater deepening of its sphere as a scientific disciplinary field has already been noticed, as well as by its theoretical interfaces. Conclusions: this study was limited to the investigation of scientific articles published in the last 59 years. In this sense, it is understood and suggested the development of works that deal with publications in different formats such as books, bases of repertoires or repositories, scientific events, among other areas of scientific dissemination and in different time periods and /or disciplinary cuts, to fill the remaining research gaps. Initiatives that would further strengthen the scientific framework of the Bibliography.
