  • 摘要:An international overview of competence assessment procedures and tools If countries that traditionally have a great amount of experience in taking in immigrants and/or have taken in many people during the latest wave of refugees are included, it appears that 41 different professional competence assessment procedures and tools are currently in use in these nine countries alone. This article gathers together these tools and procedures, outlining their main characteristics. It includes a brief comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of individual competence assessment procedures. The result of this analysis is that the portfolio approach is particularly common in international models, i.e. the documentation of a person‘s formally, non-formally and informally acquired competences/qualifications. Online tools are rarely found; these have the advantage that their cost of use is relatively low, yet their validity and their diagnostic possibilities are limited. Suitable for the target group of migrants and refugees is above all the use of procedures that are more „language neutral“, i.e. test procedures that are largely visual.
