摘要：Apresenta a questão da responsabilidade civil aplicada à atividade do bibliotecário, seja ele profissional liberal ou não. Considera os serviços prestados e suas consequências, principalmente com o advento da internet, possíveis danos a terceiros e a conduta a ser adotada baseada na Lei nº 8.078, de 11 de setembro de 1990 (Código de Defesa do Consumidor – CDC).

as applied to the work of the professional librarian. A librarian
may be liable for malpractice whether acting as an employee, as
an agent or as an individual contractor. The article examines the
rendering of services and potential consequences given the
advent of the internet. Damages to third parties and the manner
in which situations are handled are considered in light of Law N.
8078 of 1990 (Code of Consumer Protection - CDC).
