摘要：The purpose of this study is to know the effectivenerss of research based learning when it applied to Syntax couse. Introduction data were obtained through interviews. The invention of this step is (1) learning achievement of syntac course are not yet reaching the target, it is because the learning activites are still lecturers theoretical centered; (2) Group discussion method cannot accommodate to distributing the group tasks, so the discussion activites are centered on a small number of students. Based on these problems, the research will take on third semester students. Statistical test result show the mean pretest and post test 21.000 with a standard deviation 4.381 and sig (2-tailed) 0,000 less than 0.05. It means there are some significant differences between before and after using this research based learning.
