摘要：In today’s changing world, protected areas are essential to care for our natural heritage and ensure appropriate landscape management. This article presents an overview of the processes involved in designating Slovak protected areas from the beginning of territorial nature protection. The registration of proposed and designated protected areas was developed concurrently with the historical development of nature protection in Slovakia. The Slovak Museum of Nature Protection and Speleology has been active in this area since 2002, and the collection of the State Inventory is an archival collection stored and preserved in the museum archive and freely available to the public.
