摘要:We employed satellite images and the split-window algorithm to estimate land surface temperature in Bratislava and its surrounds on specific days in July and December 2014. Images were obtained from the Landsat 8 Operation Land Imager at 30 m resolution and the Thermal Infrared Sensor at 100 m resolution. Results highlight the relationship between land cover and land surface temperature where areas covered with vegetation or closer to water areas have lower temperature than non-vegetated areas. The coolest summer area is in forests in the northern part of study area and the hottest is the Volkswagen industrial park. Meanwhile, the coolest winter area is Zlaté Piesky lake and the warmest is also in the Volkswagen industrial park.
