摘要：This paper presents a new programme document of the Slovak Republic, so-called Integrated Regional Operational Programme (IROP) for the programme period 2014–2020, which follows the Regional Operational Programme 2007– 2013 and on the Operational Programme Bratislava Region. In the IROP will be integrated an approach to the terri- torial development, implemented through the Regional Integrated Territorial Strategies on the level of Self-Governing Regions. The IROP provides the funding opportunities from the European Structural and Investment Funds in the fild of regional transport, public services – education, health, social services, creative industries and the environment – for the each region of Slovakia. The paper describes an implementation tool for IROP – Regional Integrated Territorial Strategy, which defies the best investments in the context of support IROP in the region and presents six priority axes of document IROP. Characterization of investment priorities, specifi objectives and supported activities of the priority axis 4: Improving the Quality of Life in Regions with an Emphasis on the Environment is the part of the paper.
