摘要：The paper is focused on a landscape-ecological interpretation of flvial landscape of Slovakia lowlands archetypes. The selected examples of archetypes present a specifi development of landscape in areas with the youngest landform evolution. The fist is the town of Komárno area at the conflences of rivers Váh and Danube and the second is the territory of the town of Rad, in the conditions of levee depositions meanders of the former course of the river Tisa in the Eastern Slovak Lowland. Both archetype areas are a result of the antagonistic processes of river activity – on one hand, accumulation of material and formation of levee depositions protrusions suitable for the development of settements and human activities, on the other hand unpredictable processes associated with flods and inundations of rivers. Such selected types of landscape are an example of landscape regionalization using physiognomic criteria of landscape structure with use of interpretations of aerial photographs.
