摘要：Traditional orchards are valuable from culture-historical, landscape quality, biodiversity and genetic conservation point of view. Together in mosaic with permanent grassland, arable land or vineyards are remnants of unique traditional agricultural landscapes (TAL). Most of the orchards are preserved in type of TAL with dispersed settement or in TAL of vineyards. However, a special type of TAL with arable-land, grasslands and orchards was distinguished due to their specifiity and rarity. They are spread from the lowlands to mountainous areas. Traditional orchards are complemented by historical buildings, or objects of small folk architecture. Cultural and historical legacy of the orchards is transmittd to the folk artistic creation, verbal, musical and visual works. Historical structures and buildings, as well as old fruit trees, rare or traditional regional species are important elements of TAL, which tangible and intangible values are irreplaceable and should be preserved for future generations.
