摘要：The aim of this paper is to present available historical maps and to describe their potential for a study of landscape changes. Landscape ecological research (and mainly a study of land use or landscape structure changes) is crucially dependent on historical maps and aerial photographs as sources of information on the former landscape. In the paper, the available historical sources are listed and discussed from the point of their applicability for a study of landscape changes.
