摘要：The seven-year period between 2014 and 2020 will be a serious challenge for the European Union and its Member States. The causes are various: The period for which the strategic EU document Europe 2020 was approved ends. The new programming period in which the priority destinations of the EU finances will be decided also coincides with the years 2014 – 2020. Eventually in the following seven-year period new or thoroughly revised key branch policies of the EU including the Common Agricultural Policy EU and the 7th Environmental Action Programme EU will be implemented. The above-quoted facts should be discussed by all interested parties on all hierarchic levels: from the European through national to local ones. Scientific community should play the crucial role in this discussion.
