  • 摘要:Ecological restoration as applied science with only over thirty years of the existence and direct link to human interests since its inception, recorded the overwhelming growth mainly in the last decade. Ecological restoration of disturbed mountain grasslands after excessive overmanuring with excreta at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra has been engaged for 24 years, first in conventional terms, the last 8 years in the national parks of Slovakia. The results show better with restoration associated with seeding a mixture and 2 mows than restoration only by two mows during vegetation period without seeding a new mixture. After 8 years there has been a significant withdrawal of NPK nutrients from the soil by aboveground phytomass mowing, C : N ratio in the soil has been changed and conditions for Rumex obtusifolius L. and Urtica dioica L. have worsened, which require a high supply of nutrients. Potential weed infestation – the proportion of ruderal species in the seed bank seed recovered variants over the years reduced, increase of species diversity has been observed and evaluation of grassland quality with a positive impact on the quality of feed for the animals. Ecological functions of grassland ecosystems and the environment were restored, environmental conditions and the aesthetic qualities of the country were improved, which contributed to sustainable development and landscaping in interesting Carpathian mountain areas. Studied areas should be still maintained by grazing with adequate load 0.50 livestock units per hectare.
