摘要：The concept of the High Nature Value Farmland (HNVF) was developed during 90-ties. This paper aims to contribute to identification of the HNVF. We used mainly remote sensing data and information about distribution of the species and habitat types listed in Annexes of the Habitat Directive for assessment of the agricultural landscape of Slovakia and for delineation of 3 types of HNVF: (1) farmland with high proportion of semi-natural vegetation; (2) farmland with mosaic of habitats and/or land uses; (3) farmland supporting rare species or a high proportion of European or world populations. Based on collected data, we prepared the map of HNVF as a synthesis of 3 maps of above mentioned HNVF types. The HNVF delineation represents potentially important policy tool for better targeted application of measures for maintenance of valuable cultural landscape, habitats and species depending on agricultural management.
